Special Session

Bonifay, Florida

The Holmes County Board of Commissioner met in a Special Session on the above date with the following members present: Commissioner Kenneth Williams, Commissioner Monty Merchant, Commissioner Jim King, Commissioner Phillip Music, Commissioner Raymon Thomas, Chairman of the Board.

Mr. Greg Wood, County Administrator, was present.

Angie Jonas, Deputy Clerk, was present and kept the minutes.

Chairman Thomas opened the meeting with the prayer and the pledge.

Pursuant to public notice the Board held a workshop in order for area heavy equipment dealerships to present their products. The following dealerships were represented as follows:

Thompson Tractor and Equipment Company (CAT)-Steve Parish

Flint Equipment (John Deere)-Bill Murray

Beard Equipment (John Deere)-Scotty Burch

Tractor and Equipment Company (Komatsu)-Justin Nichols

ASC Construction (Volvo)-John Edwards

Mr. Hubert Hendrix, Shop Foreman, and the Board asked questions of each representative regarding their products.

After the completion of the presentations, Chairman Thomas asked if there was any further business. Commissioner Music stated that he had a request from a Mr. Bob Hightower for sandy clay for a ball diamond located in Washington County. The Board agreed that further information was needed regarding this item. No action was taken on this item.

Commissioner made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Commissioner Merchant seconded the motion the motion passed unanimously.
