Workshop

Bonifay, Florida

The Holmes County Board of Commissioners met in a Workshop on the above date with the following members present: Commissioner Kenneth Williams, Commissioner Phillip Music, Commissioner Monty Merchant, Commissioner Jim King and Commissioner Raymon Thomas, Chairman of the Board.

Sherry Fitzpatrick, Deputy Clerk, was present and kept the minutes.

Chairman Thomas led the prayer and pledge.

Steve Afeman and Bill Davis, Emerald Companies, presented the Board with an opportunity for a privately owned and operated detention center to be located in Holmes County. There would be no cost to the county for this project. The Board agreed for Emerald Companies to complete legal research on the project being located in Florida and present it at a later date.

The Board recessed.
