Workshop

Bonifay, Florida

 

The Holmes County Board of Commissioners met in a Special Session on the above date with the following members present: Commissioner Kenneth Williams, Commissioner Ron Monk, Commissioner Jim King, Commissioner Phillip Music and Commissioner Monty Merchant, Chairman of the Board.

                                   

                                    Angie Jonas, Deputy Clerk, was present and kept the minutes.

Chairman Merchant opened the meeting with the prayer and pledge.

 

Pursuant to public notice, the Board held a Workshop to discuss the Safety Inspection Report. Mrs. Sherry Fitzpatrick, Administrative Assistant and Safety Committee member, stated that Mr. Willie Sewell, Mr. Buster Hewett, Mr. David English, Mr. Albert Jordan, Mr. Gerald Truett, Mr. Jerome Szczekot, Mr. Al Vetzel, Chairman Andy Tharpe and Vice Chairman Mr. Eddie Whitehurst participated in the first Safety Committee meeting on March 19, 2009 and also that the meetings should be taking place every other month until the committee becomes more established. She asked for the support of the Board and highlighted the following benefits of the committee: workplace safety and a discounted insurance premium. Mr. Butch Darab, Loss Prevention Consultant for Public Risk Management, presented the report to the Board and suggested various safety improvements.
