The Clerk of the Circuit Court, also the County Clerk, has his office in the County Courthouse. The Clerk's duties are prescribed by the Constitution and state and local laws. The Clerk's duties include the following: information management, record keeping, and financial management for the county government and judicial system.
*Severe cuts recently made to Clerks' budgets by the Florida Legislature have required significant reductions in personnel. As a result, you may experience longer processing and wait time for services from the office.
In addition, effective June 1, 2009, the Legislature has imposed significant increases for filing fees and service charges to fund judges and court administration, as recommended by Florida's Chief Judges and the Florida Bar. While the Clerks are required by law to collect these additional fees, they do not benefit your local Clerk's office.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
The Clerk may be contacted by e-mail at Liberty67@yahoo.com, by mail at P.O. Box 399, Bristol, FL 32321, or by phone at 850-643-2215.
